About Matt George

Well I guess I could tell you a little bit about myself.  My name is Matt George, no seriously... I was introduced to technology at the young age of 7 and by the age of 15 I was giving advise to Sr. Network Administrators at my school suggesting policy changes to increase infrastructure security. Around that age I found myself flirting alittle bit with Cisco devices and became dazzled with their features and abilities. Soon after seeking the CCNA certification my Jr. year in high school. Years later I obtained the CCNP at 20 and then set my sights for the ultimate test. The Cisco CCIE certification. The picture to the left shows me reviewing some OSPF material with a buddy. It's always said that two brains are better than one.

If you've had the oppertunity to chat with me than I'm sure you've would have quickly noticed my unique sense of humor. Of course I could not get away without posting something decent to laugh at on here.

In this picture (shown to left) I could not get a route-map to work the way I wanted it to so I had to whip out the hammer! Oh yes... Ladies and Gentlemen, this is what I call a HARDCORE route-map!!! I was going to beat the hell out of those packets... Literally...

Other Random Information

I have a unique ability to learn technology related material very quickly.

Most people who attempt the CCIE lab exam fail it the first time and I would not be surprised if I failed it the first time but I hope I don’t. I had a chat with an old class mate of mine and we were on the topic of the CCIE lab and I had to make note that it's not how much experience you have. It's how well you can retain the knowledge. If you take an engineer with 3-5 years experience and can remember what he had for dinner 3 weeks ago from today and compare him to an engineer with 10-20 years experience who cannot remember what he did to a router 3 days ago, who do you really think has a better chance in passing the lab? With that being said, I like to think that I have a good chance ^_^
